We are very pleased to announce the Forum Bioinformatics 2009 as part of the World Conference on Regenerative Medicine in Leipzig on October 30th at the Congress Center Leipzig on the Leipzig Fair.

The organization committee aims to present current projects in bioinformatics to foster networking and scientific exchange of know-how and novel approaches in this dynamically evolving segment of the Life Science Industry. Bioinformatics in universities, research institutions and businesses plays an ever more important role, particularly in the field of red biotechnology in centres of Life Science research at Leipzig, Jena, Halle, Magdeburg and Dresden.

The Forum Bioinformatics provides entrepreneurs and fellow researchers with an introduction in current trends in bioinformatics. Thus, the organization committee decided not to limit the scope of contributed abstracts and presentations. Suggested core topics are:
